The story:
When my father passed away on Feb 12th, 2018, he winked to me on the hospital bed, not able to talk. But, he totally knew how to communicate with me and I am so blessed to have this positive message from him to take with me. He is saying, stay positive Mike, don't worry, take care of everyone, I'll be ok, see you soon.

I was mixing the instrumental version of this, and these lyrics came to me, out of nowhere, but from somewhere. I could hardly keep editing through my tears because it was such a spiritual "acceptance" moment. I really wish Dad could be here to see some of these new accomplishments, but then when I started to whine through lyrics about it... the have no fear idea came up and it turned more motivational. "Keep making music Mike, have no fear, just go for it and have fun, I didn't put you through school for nothin'!" hahaha!

My subconscious giving me these lyrics felt like him talking to me. He did train me to be a person, he did provide me with so many opportunities of music education, and he did help me buy this marimba. He was present while I was composing in so many ways. Creating new music with these tools is a perfect dedication that I can do over and over to connect with him and his memory. Even though we used to go to more bluegrass concerts together, I bet he is listening with satisfaction.

Boom. "Have a Great Day" is something my father always had on his voicemail, so... now you know. (and knowing is half the battle G.I. Joe)
