I started jamming with my student Eli one night, yeah we tried jamming over zoom. Suddenly, a little groove formed, I was teaching him about fifths and fourths. We recorded a little version of it and left it at that. Little did I know I would be writing this entire thing based off of our original idea!

Then I started coming up with lyrics. I recently have been writing many tunes using this layering method and filming my composition decisions when I make them! Maybe you even heard these lyrics in the melody of the instrumental version. :) Please enjoy "I'm Gonna Wear a Mask!"

If you really watch during the video, there are many easter eggs. Mike being wacky and peeking at you, or smiling or waving. Maybe there are jokes associated with masks? Let me know what you see in the comments!
